The humans behind the Systemic Constellation Academy

We are three generations of women and constellation facilitators: Margarete, Melanie and Antonia.

Each of us is incredibly passionate about Family and Systemic Constellations and that is is essence why we started the Systemic Constellation Academy- to share our joy and passion!

We are each unique in our style and approach to this modality but we share fundamental views about how we engage with and support our clients.

It is our hope that through providing training, professional development and supervision, we can establish Family Constellations on a further and broader footing in Australia and help more people be touched by this modality's power and healing.

In this recording, each of us share how we came to constellation work, what makes us unique in our approach and how we would like to impact the constellation community with the Systemic Constellation Academy.

Margarete Koenning

BA Social Work | Senior Gestalt Therapist | PACFA Supervisor | Family Constellations Trainer & Facilitator

As a trainer and facilitator of Family & Systemic Constellations and Gestalt Therapy, Margarete is known and loved for her healing heart, her deep authentic contact, attention to phenomenology and inclusion of healing rituals. Informed by her training as a PACFA Supervisor, senior Gestalt Therapist and BA in Social Work, she draws on her 40+ years of experience, knowledge and wisdom to inform her work and training. When Margarete immigrated to Australia 30 years ago from Germany, she brought her knowledge of Family Constellations with her and has been offering it to clients and students ever since.

After a hiatus due to the global pandemic, Margarete has returned to offer her beloved in-person facilitator training, which she has been doing for over 25 years now. She is greatly respected in the International Constellation Community and is passionate about teaching constellation facilitation to the next generation of facilitators.

When she is not working, she enjoys living in the Sunshine Coast hinterland with her husband Keith, where she is deeply engaged with the community and likes staying active and connected.

Melanie Enders

BA Psychological Science | Grad. Dip. Gestalt Therapy

With over 15 years of experience in working with Family Constellations, Mel is still as passionate about this modality today as she was when she first started out with this work. After learning from multiple teachers and completing further study, Mel has developed her own unique approach to constellations, which addresses deeply engrained cultural and family dynamics, voices important truths and helps participants to reconnect with their ancestral strength.

Additionally to her family constellation facilitation, she has also studied psychology and psychotherapy, which informs her

private practice focus on overcoming trauma, addiction, and couples' issues. She is also passionate about using her lived experience to bridge linguistic and cultural divides.

In her own time, Melanie is nature lover, gardener and mother of 3 boys. She was born and raised in Germany/Bavaria, but has been living in Australia since 2006, enabling her to relate to the challenges of immigrating, bilingualism, and blended families.

Antonia Kersting

BA Counselling

Antonia first participated in an open constellation workshop in her hometown Berlin (Germany) when she was 14 years old and was immediately enamoured with this modality. After being a regular workshop participant for almost a decade, both in Germany and Australia, Antonia became a facilitator in 2018. Since then, she has been developing her unique facilitation style, combining constellations with womancraft, rites of passage and somatic work.

Her 1:1 and group work combines both evidence-based and shamanic approaches and is deeply rooted in the philosophy that the person is the expert in their own life and healing. The support she provides for her clients is highly individualised, intuitive, and collaborative, providing safety, space, and resources. In her private practice she focuses on supporting clients to reconnect to themselves, heal their trauma and embody their potential.

When she is not working, Antonia loves being in nature, cooking (and eating!) good food, reading, crafting and spending time with friends and family.
